The Full Story
Steve Procyshyn is the President of Platinum Diamond Drilling Inc. Raised in a farming community in Manitoba, he developed a strong foundation in hands-on work, problem-solving, and a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion. Eager to begin his career, he entered the diamond drilling industry immediately after completing his education.
Steve steadily advanced through the industry, building his leadership skills and professional reputation as a crew member before progressing into roles as a foreman and operations manager. As his experience grew, he was entrusted with increasingly senior responsibilities and contributed to complex drilling projects both in Canada and internationally. His work took him from his roots in Manitoba across Canada and, over several years, to long-term international assignments in Japan, China, Tibet, and Chile, where his technical expertise was in high demand.
Drawing on decades of hands-on field experience and senior management leadership, Steve founded Platinum Diamond Drilling Inc. in 2011 after purchasing his first drill. Based in Manitoba, the company has grown from a single-rig operation into an established drilling contractor with a fleet of six drills, allowing it to successfully execute multiple projects concurrently.

The development of strong business relationships are founded on integrity, trust and respect
Integrity, trust and respect stand at the core of our business. These values are central to our entire team in all of our interactions. At Platinum diamond Drilling, the straightforward work ethic comes from the top down. No one is too high up or too important to roll up their sleeves and pitch in to ensure a job is done right. We take pride in our determination to maintain a superior quality of standards in performance and safety.

Our core values extend not only to our customers, but also include our crew. The safety and wellbeing of our family of employees continues to be priority one. Our crew is made up of expertly trained, skilled drillers that have worked on remote job sites, in rough terrain, and under harsh, unpredictable weather conditions. We have recently partnered with Paul Gosselin, Health and Safety consultant, to introduce a mobile app for our company, to create a leading edge, field to office safety communication tool.
Keeping our rigs, drills, and other equipment in top condition is essential to optimum performance at all levels. We maintain a rigorous equipment maintenance schedule for safety and operation.

We gratefully acknowledge that some of our projects are undertaken on land which is traditional territory of First Nations people. We will endeavour to treat the land and surroundings with utmost respect and dignity, and will make every effort to keep interference to a minimum.
We will do our best to support the local communities near our sites, and where possible, attempt to hire required workers locally.
