President
Steve Procyshyn
Steve has over 30 years of experience in the industry and has worked as senior drill operator and provided project management on jobs across North America, Japan, China, & Chile; both in small single drill and multi-drill projects. In 2011 he decided to use his skills to establish his own Company.
Partner and Chief Financial officer
Myrna Procyshyn
For over 13 years, Myrna has been the co-owner of Platinum Diamond Drilling. Her entrepreneurial spirit has been a major asset in establishing a strong company. Alongside Steve, she enjoys managing the company in a dynamic industry and is ambitious to see it continue its growth.
Controller
Rudy Melling
Rudy has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. In 2014 he earned his Chartered Accountant designation and has worked in various Controller roles prior to joining Platinum in March 2023. Alongside Myrna, he oversees the Administration and Accounting department.
Assistant Controller
Kris Semchyshyn
Kris brings more than a decade of experience across education, administration, and accounting to her role as Assistant Controller. With degrees in Education and Mathematics, along with an Accounting diploma, she combines analytical thinking with a practical, collaborative approach to supporting Platinum Diamond Drilling’s financial operations. Kris is focused on improving systems and processes, developing solutions, and encouraging new ways of thinking that support the organization’s continued growth.
Contract and Business Development Manager
Mark Rein
Mark brings more than 20 years of experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry to his role as Contract and Business Development Manager. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of British Columbia in 2003 and has managed exploration and development projects for junior, mid-tier, and major mining companies. With experience on both the client and service provider sides of the industry, Mark supports business development while helping strengthen Platinum Diamond Drilling’s service level and client relationships.
Operations Manager
Zach Purdy
Zach brings 17 years of diamond drilling experience, having built his career from driller’s assistant to Operations Manager. His hands-on field background, safety focus, and leadership experience give him a strong understanding of both crew needs and operational demands. In his role, Zach supports daily operations, guides project execution, mentors field teams, and helps ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Platinum Diamond Drilling’s high standards.
Administration / Shop
Accounting Technician
Parveen Kumari
Parveen brings nearly a decade of accounting and payroll experience to her role as Accounting Technician. Since entering the profession in 2016, she has developed strong knowledge of accounting processes, compliance, payroll management, and financial operations. Parveen is currently furthering her professional development through the CPA program while supporting Platinum Diamond Drilling’s accounting team with accuracy, reliability, and a commitment to organizational success.
Accounting Technician
Krista Futros
Krista brings more than 30 years of accounting and finance experience to her role as Accounting Technician. As a CPA and CMA, she has expertise in treasury, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. Krista has held a variety of leadership roles throughout her career, including managing cash flow for a $2 billion organization and supporting employee benefit programs. Known for her detail-oriented and collaborative approach, Krista helps support sound financial management and operational success.
Mechanical and Fabrication Specialist
Glenn Freriks
Glenn brings expertise in mechanical systems, welding, and custom metal fabrication. He designs and builds specialized tools and equipment that support both field and shop operations, drawing on experience in equipment operation, drill setup construction, road building and maintenance, and drill relocations. He also helps troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues, supporting operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
Executive Assistant
Kim Driedger
Kim brings a diverse professional background to her role as Executive Assistant, with experience across administration, project coordination, customer service, and business operations. Her career across several industries has strengthened her adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to support teams and leaders effectively.
Payroll Administrator
Mohy Shaaban
Mohy brings three years of payroll and accounting experience to his role as Payroll Administrator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management and has earned his Payroll Compliance Professional designation. With experience in payroll administration, QuickBooks, compliance reporting, benefits administration, and account reconciliations, Mohy supports accurate and efficient payroll operations while using strong attention to detail and data analysis skills to help the team run smoothly.
Welder/Fabricator
Viacheslav Lytvynchuk
Viacheslav brings extensive experience in welding, metal fabrication, and mechanical repair, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. He has worked with a variety of specialized equipment and machinery and focuses on developing practical solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and performance. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship, Viacheslav supports the team by solving challenges effectively and delivering dependable results.
Health and Safety Manager
Paul Gosselin
Attained sixteen years of experience in the heavy construction/mining industry with 10 years of experience in the health and safety field. Successfully obtained GSC, NCSO designations along with the Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
